Conferences and Seminars

The ATEE organizes annual conferences, hosted by teacher education institutions throughout Europe.

First of all there is the Annual conference, which takes place at the end of August. This five-days conference is a meeting place and platform for teacher educators and researches from all over the world.
The annual conference combines inspiring keynotes, a wide variety of papers on research and practice of teacher education, active working sessions of the Research and Development Centers and last but not least, a open, friendly, informal and lively atmosphere
The Universities in the Baltic States organize each year a Spring Conference. This two-day conference create a lifely platform for exchange of research and practice. attracting mainly teacher educators from the nothern part of Europe.

ATEE Annual Conference 2010

From 26 to 30 August 2010 the 35th Conference of the Association for Teacher Education in Europe was held in Budapest, Hungary. This conference was hosted by the Association of Hungarian Teacher Educators in co-operation with the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest and the Eszterházy Károly College of Eger.

Under the conference title ‘Responsibility, Challenge and Support in Teachers’ Life-long Professional Development’ the conference programme focused on the lifelong learning and continuous professional development of teachers and the role of pre-service and in-service teacher education.

ATEE Winter Conference 2010: Early Years, Primary Education and ICT

From August 29th to September 2nd, 2009, the 34th ATEE took place in Palma de Mallorca.

The conference brought together more than 400 teacher educators from more than 40 countries within and outside Europe.

The ATEE Winter University has the purpose of discussing and deepening the issues studied by the Research and Development Centres (RDC) of the Association. Year in, year out the RDCs may widen their research by means of specific conferences open to European and Non-European experts.
